Working with VCTC

The Ventura County Transportation Commission (VCTC) is soliciting proposals for Marketing and Community Outreach services for the Valley Express Transit Service. The Valley Express service is a contracted transit service that provides Fixed Route, ADA Paratransit and Senior and General Public Dial-a-ride services to the cities of Santa Paula and Fillmore and the unincorporated area of Piru. The objective of this marketing and community outreach program is to increase public recognition and ridership of the Valley Express Transit service. The Valley Express Transit Service is funded through a cooperative agreement with the Cities of Fillmore, Santa Paula and the County of Ventura. VCTC serves as the administrator of the service.

The Ventura County Transportation Commission (VCTC), which serves as the regional transportation planning agency for Ventura County, is required by Section 99246 of the California Public Utilities Code to triennially designate an entity other than itself to conduct a performance audit of its activities. Operators that receive funding under Article 4 of the TDA are required to have a performance audit. Between fiscal years (FY) 2013 and 2016, this includes VCTC, Gold Coast Transit District (GCTD), Thousand Oaks Transit, Simi Valley Transit, and Valley Express.
