Getting There

Metrolink

For the Strawberry Festival, on May 18 and 19 Metrolink will serve the Ventura-Downtown/Beach Station, which is located next to the fairgrounds.

Metrolink offers a $10 weekend day pass, good for unlimited rides on the day of purchase. Up to three children ages 17 and younger ride free on weekends with a paying adult. Metrolink also has an active codeshare program with Amtrak Pacific Surfliner that allows Metrolink ticket holders to ride any Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains between LA Union Station and Ventura, and vice versa. (Note: the Metrolink Kids Ride Free on Weekends promotion is not valid on Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains.)

AMTRAK Pacific Surfliner

Use Amtrak and ride the Pacific Surfliner to the Ventura County Fairgrounds for the California Strawberry Festival May 18-19. Up to three children (ages 12 and younger) ride free with each paying adult. https://www.pacificsurfliner.com/strawberry

Ventura County is filled with bike routes leading to the Ventura County Fairgrounds. Visitors can check their bikes at the gate. Spectators can combine riding their bikes with transit. Transit operators allow bike storage onboard!

Trips on all local buses can be paid for on the VCbuspass app or with exact change. Riders who use VCbuspass to pay for their fare will receive a 10% discount per trip. All Ventura County college students ride free through the College Ride Program (Ventura College, Oxnard College, Moorpark College, CSU Channel Islands, Cal Lutheran, UC Santa Barbara, and Santa Barbara City College, and youths 18 and under ride free through the Youth Ride Free Program.
